Before we give you the full results, let&#8217;s give you some interesting facts and figures about this year\u2019s edition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Eurovision Top 250: Facts and Figures\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xtiP71hrVOI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>To begin, we can proudly announce that the\u00a0<strong>record amount of votes<\/strong> has been shattered for this edition. We received <strong>6,345<\/strong> lists sent by fans across the whole world, which combined ensured yet another more than successful edition. Which country has the most entries in the ESC Top 250 this year? Which decades did well? You will read all about it in this article.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Countries with the most entries<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Italy<\/strong> and <strong>Sweden<\/strong> both have <strong>14 entries<\/strong>, scoring the best in this ESC Top 250 per country. Mahmood&#8217;s <em>Soldi<\/em> is the highest ranked Italian entry at number seven. Loreen&#8217;s <em>Euphoria<\/em>, the undisputed number one, is of course the highest Swedish entry. <strong>Spain<\/strong> has <strong>13 entries<\/strong> in the list with <em>Qu\u00e9date Conmigo<\/em> from Pastora Soler placed highest, at number nine. Four countries have <strong>ten songs<\/strong> in the list: <strong>Germany, Greece, Portugal <\/strong>and<strong> Norway<\/strong>. Lena&#8217;s <em>Satellite<\/em> is the highest German entry at number 51. At number 27 we find the highest ranked Greek entry, <em>My Number One<\/em> by Helena Paparizou and the most voted Portuguese entry, <em>Amar pelos dois<\/em> by Salvador Sobral, is at number four. Just like last year, you find the best Norwegian entry\u00a0<em>Spirit in the Sky<\/em>, which remains at number five.<\/p>\n<p>We have another tie between <strong>Ukraine<\/strong> and <strong>Turkey<\/strong> with both countries represented\u00a0<strong>nine times<\/strong> in this year&#8217;s ranking. Jamala&#8217;s <em>1944<\/em> at number six is \u200b\u200bthe best Ukrainian entry, <em>Everyway That I Can<\/em> by Sertab Erener ends 14th and is hence voted your favourite Turkish entry. Also making the top five of the highest scoring countries are\u00a0<strong>Azerbaijan, Iceland <\/strong>and<strong> Israel<\/strong>, all with <strong>eight songs<\/strong> in the list. <em>Cleopatra<\/em> by Efendi from 2020 is in 75th place and that\u2019s the highest ranking for Azerbaijan. The 2020 favourite Da\u00f0i &amp; Gagnamagni\u00f0 made it to \u200b\u200b16th place with <em>Think About Things<\/em> and scored the best result for Iceland in this year\u2019s list. The 2018 winner, Netta, landed in number 22 with <em>Toy<\/em>, which is the highest ranking for Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore,\u00a0<strong>The Netherlands<\/strong> has <strong>six entries<\/strong> in the top 250, with <em>Arcade<\/em> by still reigning Eurovision champion Duncan Laurence doing best at number three, down one place from last year. Our own little country, <strong>Belgium<\/strong>, closes the year with <strong>four entries<\/strong> in the ESC Top 250. Lo\u00efc Nottet with <em>Rhythm Inside<\/em> didn\u2019t make the top ten this year and came in 11th, as the best scoring Belgian entry.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Which decade is best represented?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We are happy to report that at least one song from every decade has made it to the ESC Top 250 this year. Let&#8217;s take a look decade by decade:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only <strong>one song from the fifties<\/strong> made it to the list.\u00a0<em>Nel blu dipinto di blu<\/em> by Domenico Modugno from 1958 rose four places this year to number 139.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Five songs from the sixties<\/strong> got enough votes to make it onto the list. The highest ranking is for <em>Poup\u00e9e de cire, poup\u00e9e de son<\/em> by France Gall from 1965, at number 66.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>seventies<\/strong> took in <strong>ten spots<\/strong> with the highest ranking yet again for the 1974 winner, <em>Waterloo<\/em> from ABBA, at number 19.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sixteen songs from the eighties<\/strong> made it to the list with C\u00e9line Dion&#8217;s <em>Ne partez pas sans moi<\/em> as the most voted entry at number 60.<\/li>\n<li>On to the <strong>nineties<\/strong>\u00a0with <strong>41 songs<\/strong>\u00a0of this decade in the ESC Top 250. Ranked highest, and coming 12th in the list, is\u00a0<em>Nocturne\u00a0<\/em>by Secret Garden.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>zeroes<\/strong> have <strong>40 entries<\/strong>, of which the the 2007 winner, Marija \u0160erifovic, scores best with <em>Molitva<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Just like last year, the highest number of songs in the ESC Top 250\u00a0stems from the 2010s. No less than <strong>117 songs<\/strong> made it to the list. It\u2019s a surprise to literally no one that\u00a0<em>Euphoria<\/em> by Loreen is the highest placed entry from the past decade.<\/li>\n<li>We have of course entered a new decade this year, the <strong>new <em>Roaring Twenties<\/em><\/strong>. It didn&#8217;t all go according to plan and although we didn&#8217;t have a Eurovision Song Contest this year, you voted massively for songs from 2020. No fewer than <strong>20 songs<\/strong>, almost half of all 2020 entries, made the list. The highest ranking is for Diodato with <em>Fai rumore<\/em>,\u00a0entering the top ten at number eight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Riser, fallers and newcomers <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Biggest riser<\/strong> this edition is the song <em>Sufi<\/em> by MF\u00d6. The 1988 Turkish entry rose from number 1131 to number 184, an <strong>increase of 947 places<\/strong>. Where an entry can rise enormously, there is of course also an entry that has made the <strong>biggest fall<\/strong> within the list. <em>Forogj, vil\u00e1g!<\/em>\u00a0by NOX, the Hungarian entry from 2005, <strong>dropped 129 places<\/strong>,\u00a0from number 98 to number 227. Only three countries are not to be found this year: Andorra, Monaco and Morocco.<\/li>\n<li>The only year from the 21st century <strong>without any song<\/strong> in the ESC Top 250 is\u00a0<strong>2002<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>There was a <strong>tight race<\/strong> at the top; it has never been so close! There was only a <strong>seven points margin<\/strong>\u00a0between the numbers four and five in the ranking. Notwithstanding this, the gap between <em>Euphoria<\/em> and <em>Fuego<\/em> was a staggering <strong>3,312 points<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Looking forward to 2021!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We would like to thank you all for voting your favourite in this year\u2019s top 250.
