The festival annually brings the best Balkan music to Brussels, and this year, two former Eurovision Song Contest participants will be there. It will take place on April 25th, 26th, and 27th. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.balkantrafik.com\/get-your-ticket\/\">Tickets are already available for purchase<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to music, Balkan Trafik also features dance, exhibitions, workshops, and &#8220;food and wine&#8221; on the program. Other well-known names besides Kalush Orchestra and Koza Mostra include the <strong>Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra<\/strong>, <strong>Unza Unza Orchestra<\/strong>, <strong>Amsterdam Klezmer Band<\/strong>, <strong>DAAN<\/strong>, the <strong>Zarina Prvasevda Ensemble<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Manu Chao<\/strong>. The latter is known for classics like <em>Bella Ciao<\/em> and <em>Me gustas t\u00fa<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Multi-artistisc<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The organizers describe their <strong>multi-artistic festival<\/strong> as &#8216;the <strong>meeting <\/strong>between creatives from Southeast European countries and Brussels as a multicultural European capital.&#8221; They also call it &#8220;a platform for cultural diplomacy.&#8217; The festival&#8217;s name is deliberately chosen.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The word &#8216;Trafik&#8217; in the festival&#8217;s name can provoke thoughts. Indeed, we wanted to create questions about this name, which some may find surprising since these countries are <strong>stigmatized<\/strong> by human trafficking, arms trafficking, etc. What a pleasure to break down <strong>prejudices<\/strong>, <strong>to provoke thought<\/strong>, even if only by mentioning the festival&#8217;s name!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>Kalush Orchestra: a Ukrainian melting pot of sounds<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kalush Orchestra is known for blending traditional Ukrainian music with <strong>contemporary influences<\/strong>. In 2022, the group won the <strong>Eurovision Song Contest<\/strong> in Turin with <em>Stefania<\/em>, leading to the following year&#8217;s contest in Liverpool. This group also participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013. For Greece, the group finished <strong>sixth in the final<\/strong> with <em>Alcohol Is Free<\/em>.
