Intussen zijn de eerste kandidaten op Zweedse bodem geland om zich volop voor te bereiden op hun <em>moment de gloire<\/em>. Songfestival.be brengt elke dag om 19.00 uur een overzichtsartikel met de laatste updates over de repetities.<\/p>\n<p>Vandaag kwamen de <strong>laatste acht deelnemende landen<\/strong> uit halve finale 1 aan de bak. De artiesten krijgen elk exact een halfuur tijd om te repeteren, ruim voldoende om hun nummertje drie keer op te voeren. Bj\u00f6rk wordt geflankeerd door <strong>vijf achtergronddansers en -zangers<\/strong> en het podiumdecor bevat een grote showtrap waar Bart Ka\u00ebll jaloers op zou zijn. In feite is dit vooral een gepimpte versie van het optreden dat we eerder zagen in preselectie <em>S\u00f6ngvakeppnin<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Rood is de dominante kleur in de achtergrond, inclusief de felle laserlichten die druk in het rond vliegen om toch maar iets te laten gebeuren op de sc\u00e8ne. Vocaal valt er weinig op te merken;\u00a0<strong>Hera Bj\u00f6rk is een rasartieste die met overtuiging het telefoonboek kan zingen<\/strong>. Het concept uit de videoclip (&#8216;Raiven staat\/ligt\/zit omringd door halfnaakte dansers&#8217;) wordt namelijk naadloos gekopieerd naar de Malm\u00f6 Arena. Opvallend verschil: <strong>twee van de dansers zijn vrouwelijk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Het eerder conceptuele nummer wordt in beeld gebracht met <strong>een onheilspellende led-achtergrond met daarop donderwolken en bliksemschichten<\/strong> die Jacotte Brokken maar wat graag zou willen gebruiken in haar aankomende weerpraatjes. Op het einde wordt Raiven door twee van de dansers naar boven getild. Klaar voor de brandstapel?<\/p>\n<p>Kortom, <strong>veel hekserij maar weinig hocus-pocus<\/strong>. Het enige wezenlijke verschil is <strong>het Windows 95-logo dat wazig gemaakt is<\/strong> op het shirt en petje van zanger Teemu Keisteri.<\/p>\n<p>Samen met zijn kompaan Henri Piispanen en de twee dansers die we ook al in\u00a0<em>UMK\u00a0<\/em>zagen, wordt opnieuw gespeeld met de vraag <strong>of Windows95man nu ondergoed draagt of niet<\/strong>. Het antwoord zal je (niet) verbazen.<\/p>\n<p>Bij een deel van de kijkers die het optreden op 7 mei voor het eerst zien, zal\u00a0<em>No Rules<\/em><em>!\u00a0<\/em>zeker op de <strong>lachspieren<\/strong> werken. Maar of dat zich ook in stemmen en punten zal vertalen? Een ten opzichte van 2007 quasi onherkenbare Natalia Barbu heeft haar ensemble muzikanten uit de preselectie thuisgelaten en staat <strong>drie minuten moederziel alleen<\/strong> op de imposante Zweedse b\u00fchne.<\/p>\n<p>Barbu draagt een stijlvolle witte jurk met gaten op de juiste plekken en een split waar de BRT begin jaren 1980 protest tegen zou hebben aangetekend. Het geheel oogt wat als\u00a0<strong><em>Xena: Warrior Princess\u00a0<\/em>die naar een galabal gaat<\/strong>. Uiteraard tekent de viool nog steeds present om &#8216;bespeeld te worden&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Wetende dat het oog ook wat wil, lijkt vooral gewerkt te zijn aan <strong>een gevarieerde led-achtergrond<\/strong>. Daarop zien we afwisselend oceaanwater waaruit grote bellen komen, een bloesemboom die bladeren verliest en een tafereel dat gelijkenissen vertoont met de ontploffing van de Apollo 13-raket. Van oorlogsprinsessen gaat het naar <strong>een Star Wars-achtig thema waarbij grijstinten en zwart primeren<\/strong>, zowel bij artiesten Fahree en Ilkin als in de led-achtergrond. Die lijkt ge\u00efnspireerd door elke stockfoto over artifici\u00eble intelligentie die Google Afbeeldingen je aanreikt. Zonder twijfel is dit de meest authentieke inzending die Australi\u00eb ooit gestuurd heeft, maar daarmee wellicht voor een aantal kijkers ook de meest bevreemdende.<\/p>\n<p>Terwijl toetsenist Michael vooral veilig achter de keyboards blijft, zien we hoe zanger Zaachariaha is uitgedost in een opvallende creatie die mits enige verbeelding op een witte ui gelijkt.
