ESC250 2025
Loreen wins the ‘ESC250’ once again with ‘Euphoria’, ‘Tattoo’ in second place
The ESC250 remains the traditional year-ender for many Eurovision fans. This year too, the chart dominated social media for weeks, with small shifts at the top and an especially tense battle for first place. After counting and carefully checking all votes, we can confirm that this year’s ESC250 once again has a familiar name at the very top.
Songfestival.be received thousands of valid votes in this edition, underlining that the ranking has by now grown into a true fixture within the Eurovision community.
As in previous years, the full chart could once again be heard via our partners at EFR12 Radio, allowing us to close the year together in true Eurovision spirit. As always, 31 December became not just the end of the calendar year, but also the highlight for thousands of fans counting down to the ultimate number one.
A battle until the very end
Just like last year, it remained extremely close right up to the final moments. The top of the chart saw several changes during the voting period, and once again the differences between the leading songs were very small.
This sparked plenty of speculation, reactions and discussions online. In the end, one entry proved to have just that little bit more support than the rest.
The winners of yesterday and today
Once again, it is striking how strongly certain Eurovision classics continue to hold their ground. Songs that were heard at the Eurovision Song Contest many years ago keep scoring highly with the public year after year.
At the same time, more recent entries also continue to perform well in the ranking. That balance between nostalgia and current favourites remains one of the ESC250’s greatest strengths. Fans do not vote solely with their memory, but also with the feeling of the moment.
The most recent Eurovision Song Contest
The latest edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is once again clearly reflected in the ESC250. Several songs from last spring immediately make their way into the upper regions of the list.
That is hardly a surprise: songs that are still fresh in the memory traditionally benefit from a certain recency bias. Fans vividly remember the performances, the emotions are still recent, and the songs continue to circulate widely on social media and streaming platforms.
At the same time, the history of the ESC250 shows that not every strong newcomer automatically becomes a long-term fixture. Which songs from 2025 will ultimately settle among the true classics will only become clear in the years to come.
A list that keeps evolving
The ESC250 is not a static overview, but a living ranking. Every year, songs drop out, others reappear, and some rise unexpectedly. That unpredictability is exactly what keeps the chart relevant and exciting year after year.
In the coming days, we will publish the full list on our website, as always. You can also once again expect extensive facts, figures and statistics about this edition.
