Top 250 2024

She’s back! Loreen dominates 2024 edition of the ‘ESC250’
The ESC250 has become the cherished closer of the year for many Eurovision fans. Compared to the two previous editions, the chart welcomes a former winner at the top of the list: Loreen and her Euphoria, the song with which she won ESC 2012. Songfestival.be received over 7,500 sets of valid votes this edition, which was aired at EFR12 Radio for the second year running.
As usual, we ended the year with a big Eurovision party. Yet again, the ESC250 brought joy (and anguish) on the final day of the year. We open 2025 with news that you have read before: Loreen has again topped the ESC250 chart with Euphoria.
The Swedish singer is stronger than ever: Tattoo, her 2023 winning Eurovision entry, has ended in second place. Unprecedented!
No goodbye, but a see you later
As mentioned before it is far from the first time that Loreen snatches away the first place in our list. After her victory in ESC 2012 she topped every single ESC250 edition up until 2022. In that year, Chanel, who had ended third for Spain in Turin, won the radio event.
So far Chanel only has one victory, because in 2023 two new protagonists emerged. The battle between Käärijä and Loreen in Liverpool, then won by the latter artist, was repeated months later in our ESC250.
Ultimately the Finnish singer won that rematch. Tattoo came second in the ranking, just as in the 2024 vote, with Euphoria ‘only’ in third place. Chanel ended in a very respectable 4th place.
This year, however, the Swedish Eurovision superstar left both rivals far behind.
The class of 2024
How did the class of 2024 perform in this year’s ESC250? The highest newcomer in the list is Dutchman Joost Klein with his Europapa, finishing in 5th place. His Eurovision adventure ended abruptly just hours before the Grand Final. Eurovision fans have chosen to reward him accordingly in our ranking.
The 2024 winner, Nemo with The Code, enters the ESC250 at #7. In between Joost and Nemo we find the Croatian revelation of the past Eurovision edition, with Baby Lasagna finishing at #6. Greek singer Marina Satti also enters the top 10, at #9.
