Who was the worst dressed artist at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017?

The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 has come to an end. We’ve seen a lot of remarkable outfits. But which dress, costume or pantsuit was the absolute worst? You can now start voting for the Barbara Dex Award, a prize for the worst dressed Eurovision artist, by this Belgian website Songfestival.be


A new home

The award is handed out by the Belgian website Songfestival.be, who took over from the Dutch founders Rob and Edwin (House of Eurovision). The voting procedure got a make-over. For all 42 contestants there is a photo included of their outfit.

‘We are extremely proud and excited to organize this award. We hope to get a lot of votes, more than ever before. And of course we hope Barbara Dex herself will vote too’, says Jasper Van Biesen, one of the founders of Songfestival.be.

The Barbara Dex Award is named after the Belgian Eurovision contestant in 1993. She wore a dress she designed herself, a creation that caught the eye of a lot of critics. Sadly not because it was so beautiful…

    I look do the suit,dress or whatever ain,t a diversion.
    Like when see too much skin or boobs yes a diversion sometimes hide bad staging or how is sung.

    Oh yeah, this award is not about the song. It’s about the CLOTHES.
    Seen too many people complain about tone-deafness for giving somebody the BDex award.
    I never knew your sense for tones could influence your judgment on something you can only judge with your EYES!

    I think we should also be able to vote for worst outfit worn by the national vote announcers too. there were some shockers this year.
