The presenters

The EBU was also already known that the JESC 2016 will be presented by a duo, after two years of ladies who only had to get the job done. Valerie Vella and am Camille will the afternoon talk to each other. Both of them are on their island known as presenters, and they have left with the (J) ESF. Valerie has been the commentator for the Junior version for the Maltese tv, and gave in the past two times the points of her country during the voting in the Eurovision song contest. Ben presented this year all the Maltese qualifying round for the ESF.

The changes

This year is marked by radical changes in the rules of procedure and conduct of the contest:

  • The show will be broadcast live on a Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m., instead of on a Saturday night.
  • The age limit for the young participants has been moved from ten-to fifteen-year-olds to nine-to fourteen-year olds.
  • Televoting is drained: the points per country by a professional jury (50%) and a children’s jury (50%). The points of one through twelve stay upright.
  • Three expert jurors votes. They each have the same weight as that of a voting country. In total votes so 17 countries and three jury members, which means there will be twenty rounds of voting. The Swede Christer Björkman and the Dane Mads Grimstad are confirmed members of the jury. The third member is not yet published.

The break acts

A few days ago, who also published the time between the participating songs and the vote should fill. There is a job done on Destiny Chukunyere, winner of the JESC 2015 with Not My Soul and Poli Genova (photo: EBU), who finished fourth at the last ESF in Stockholm with If Love Was a Crime and last year as host of the JESC acted then that Bulgaria was held in its host country.

The opening ceremony

Next Sunday is the official opening ceremony held by the JESC 2016. The start order which the seventeen countries will take office. The participants themselves lottery tickets if they are in the first or the first half, and the countries that the match opening and closing are randomly drawn. The rest of the running order is made by producers, such as on the ESF.
